New Team (Rowlet)

A smile grows on your face as you then stand up with a team in mind. As you walk over to the PC, you think over your soon to be team. Of course you'll keep your starter, Rowlet, since the little guy is your starter after all. Plus the final form will be a Grass/Ghost type and that is pretty useful. That Munchlax may be a Normal type and will be a hassle to feed, but once it evolves into a Snorlax you'll have a pretty good powerhouse on your team. Plus normal types tend to be good with moves so that's good. The little puppy Growlithe should be pretty useful too, plus right now it is the only Fire type you got, so you can't be picky for now. Right now that is three pretty good Pokemon, so you decide to keep them as your permanent teammates for the time being. Of course you don't want to have just three Pokemon on you, like some of the trainers you have come across, so Rufflet, Mankey, and Rattata will make for good temporary team members for now. Heck, one of them might make a good permanent team member. You then think a little about the Meowth you caught, which then makes you think of your mom and her Meowth from Kanto. Meowth might want someone to play with and your mom does like the little cat Pokemon, so maybe you could send the Meowth to her. Once at the PC you boot it up and get out the five other Pokemon that you wanted, before then using the machine to call up your mother. After a few minutes the screen is then filled by your mother’s face. You see her smile wide once she sees it is you.

“Hi sweetie.” She says happily, “How’s my Pokemon Trainer doing?” You roll your eyes at her motherly tone before saying that you are fine. You then ask her how she is.

“Oh I’m fine dear, thanks for asking. So wanting to check up on your old mom or do you need something?” She then gets a little worried, “Are you in trouble?” You chuckle and then explain your idea about the Meowth. She calms down pretty quick as her face lightens up at the idea.

“Oh that would be wonderful, dear.” She says happily, “Send the little fella over. I’m sure he will feel right at home here. Though I am a little worried you’re trying to turn me into an old cat lady.” The both of you laugh at that little joke and once done, you send the Dark type right over. After a minute’s time you then hear a Meowth’s cry before your mom holds him up in her arms.

“Oh you are adorable!” She says to the Pokemon before looking back up at you, “Though I thought you were sending me another male Meowth, dear.” You give her a confused look, which makes her continue, “Your Meowth is a girl.” Oh that makes sense. You then shrug and your mother looks at you a little disappointed, “Hey, mister, if you want to be a Pokemon Trainer you need to pick up on these things.” You think about her words before nodding that you will. Your mother then cheers up again as she lets the female Meowth out of her arms and you hear it run about on the floor.

“Good boy.” She says to you, “Now you take care now and don’t go getting into trouble. I got to help our new friend get accustomed to her new home.” You nod at her words before she says, “So goodbye sweetie, love you.” After you say goodbye, she then hangs up. Well now that all that stuff is done, time to get back to the adventure.
