New Pokemon

After walking a bit further down the route and battling a few trainers that really weren't the time, you come across a Sandshrew. The Ground type doesn't seem too upset by your presence and just pokes around at the dirt. Seeing this as a good opportunity to train your Poliwhirl, you toss out the tadpole Pokemon and start the battle.

Despite only using Defense Curl and Scratch the little shrew Pokemon puts up a decent fight against Poliwag. Once your opponent is low enough on health you toss out a pokeball and catch the Sandshrew. The Ground type seems like a good addition but even if that doesn't pay off the little guy can at least make a good Dig and HM user. With a smile you soon pocket the ball and head to the nearby center.
