New Days (Current Romance Route Ending)

I grin over at Nadya, her face flush in the aftermath of our coupling. I slowly stretch, the day of to a fun start despite the sundering of our hut during the night. We both get up and start to organize the debris. I marvel at how beautiful Nadya's body looks as she moves in the morning light, a sheen of sweat causing every movement of her body to be highlighted by the light. I don't miss the office work from life before falling into this life. I don't need coffee to feel awake as I work with a woman who has become my world. Our bodies are free and expressive, not constrained by "professional" attire or decorum.

In the afternoon Nadya leaves to hunt while I work on reassembling the scattered pieces of the hut. I get into a rhythm of rebinding bamboo and supports of the structure, the repetitive motion of placing and wrapping the beams allowing my mind to wander. There are no deadlines, looming bills or other long term threat haunting me. There is only the leisurely pace of life with Nadya. I have time for the first time in years to just be, and to pursue passions.

I start to work on a drum beat as a work. The different cut lengths of bamboo lending themselves to different pitches. I lose myself in the sounds and after sometime hear clapping from Nadya as dusk hits. She has two rabbits tied to her waist.

The rest of the evening flies by. The hut is mostly reassembled, and we retire to bed. That night there is thunder again, but with Nadya in my arms I have nothing to worry about. Even when small amounts of rain leak through the mostly finished roof I feel warm and at home. I sleep deeply, and when I start to wake up, I feel breasts placed in my hands and her warm lips at my neck welcoming me into the new day.

"I love you" I sigh.

She nips my ear, and I hear "I Love you too".
