Neutralize it with the book.

Thinking about the predicament the use of the book has put him in with this cock hungry cheerleader he stands there wondering how he could get himself out of it. 'It's fine having a girl that wants to bang me all the time, but it's not okay that she wants me only to herself and would fight any other girl to the **** to keep me', he thinks to himself.

Cole suddenly realizes that Dana had been trying to talk to him for a few minutes now.

"...so you aren't talking to me now?", Dana says.
"Oh... Err... Sorry Dana I spaced out.", you reply.
"What? You mean like you spaced out last night and forgot that we had plans?", she says bitterly.
"Yeah. Sorry about that to, I had to take care of other things."
"What 'other things' did you have to take care of besides ditching a friend.", as she quotes in the air with her fingers.
"Can I talk to you later about this please?"
"Fine", Dana says. "I'll leave you to whatever more important thing you have going on, then."

You could really sense the hostility in that last line and you watched her as she pouted off to the other side of the room. You take your seat in study hall and start to plan out how to fix all of this craziness.

You take out the notebook and open up to the #20 spot where you see Jackie's 'notebook profile'. Under the previous notes you've written, the book has updated itself with another line that reads: 'Obsessive; Possessive; Mildly insane over Cole. Includes emotional and physical attachment.'

"What the fuck", you mouth to yourself.

You quickly erase that line. Then you think. 'Hmm...'

An idea pops into your head and you start to jot it into the notebook's profile text, which now reads:

'Total slut, dresses to give guys a show and is always horny.'
'Prefers not to be attached to one guy.'

Immediately after you add the period, the text moves and becomes part of the book. You hoped it had worked the way you wanted it to.

You glance back at Dana and she doesn't look at you. You have a feeling she knows you glanced at her though and wonder how you could make it up to her. You lean back and start to rifle through the pages in the book. You recognize most of the other girls in the book as you flip through just glancing at pictures, then you flip to the last page and remember the 'Add-Ins' section. You look back at Dana again.

You think to yourself, 'Should I try using the book to calm her down? It couldn't hurt right?'

Flipping to the first page of the 'Add-Ins' section, you jot down her name and the letters move as her profile starts to appear on the page. She is now a part of the notebook and, for the most part, under your control. You don't suspect that you'll need it in the future though; just this once to make things easier between you two.

'Forgives Cole very easily', you jot down and it becomes a part of her profile.

You glance back and look at Dana as she appears to have forgotten what she was thinking. She looks almost light-headed. Popping out of her daydreaming gaze she looks at you and smiles. Almost immediately after she picks up her books and joins you at your table.

"I understand that something came up, Cole." she says as she seats herself next to you. "We'll just try again another night."

Time goes on and before long you are heading to the cafeteria for lunch. You see Jackie across the cafeteria and notice she is flirting with another guy. 'Whew, dodged that bullet', you think to yourself. 'I have to remember to write-in conclusions so they don't get attached.'
