Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck

You arrive at the Captain's meeting. The one's who voted for you smile at you, even Byakuya provides you with a slight smile, although it goes unnoticed to everyone but you. Behind you Nel follows. "Valentine Frost...you have passed both tests set before you. I am proud to annouce you the Captain of the newly created Fourteenth Division."

You thank him, and everyone else for this honor. "Here is your Captains haori." Lieutenant Matsumoto actually delivers it to you. You slip it on and thank her politely...although the ice in your voice isn't well hidden. "We have been contemplating the idea of a new squad for quite some time now, as such, the Fourteenth Division barracks have already been completed."

You nod in understanding. "However, you've been assigned many new recruits, as such it might be prudent to select a Lieutenant who has a grip of the basics."

"I can choose anyone?" He nods and you turn.

"Nelliel...wanna be my Lieutenant?" She gazes up from her book at you for a moment and then nods. You're fairly sure that you've grown a second head by the stares everyone is giving you but the Head Captain doesn't say a word.

"I accept, Captain, until you find someone stronger." You look around at them and smile.

"What? If we intend to treat the peaceful Arrancar's as allies...we need to be able to establish a working relationship with them. This is the first step." Captain Kyōraku nods in agreement.

"I think that's an excellent example of trust and understanding. We should all work to bridge the gap together." You look at the Head-Captain.

"Unless...you think different, Head Captain."

"I accept this. Miss Nelliel is now your Lieutenant, Valentine Frost." She is presented with the Lieutenant's badge from Matsumoto. She attatches it to her sleeve and thanks her. "Very well...you are dismissed." The two of you thank everyone once more before you head to the Fourteenth Division barracks.

It would seem that they were informed of your arrival as immediately a squad member takes you to a room where everyone has gathered to eat a meal together. The two of you sit at the head of the room, everyone's eyes on you both. You remove your Zanpakutō and set it aside before addressing everyone. "H-Hello, Everyone. I'm Valentine Frost, the new Captain."

Nel lowers her book. "I'm Lieutenant Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck. Pleased to meet you all." She closes her book and looks at them.

"I hope we can all get along." One of the men in the division, who had apparently been drinking through the day stands up.

"What's with that lady and her hat?"

"I see the Head Captain did not explain. The Fourteenth Division supports relationships between Arrancar and Shinigami. To be honest...she's an Arrancar." Nelliel begins to eat quietly while silence reigns. "But enough of that talk, lets eat and get to know each other."

The room is silent at first...but soon everyone is talking and enjoying each other's company. The fact that Nel is an Arrancar doesn't seem to upset them too bad. But as the party gets rowdier they turn their attention to Nel once again. Several of the men begin to question her right to be here...but she does not respond.

You let it go as well until it is no longer quietly whispered but spoken out right to both of your faces. You stand and address the offending me. "Perhaps you should return to your room to sleep off your drink?" You step down and try to politely help him stand until he throws you off. You take a step back and sigh.

"Get off of me!"

"Let's not do this. It's my first day as Captain and I'd like to avoid punishments if possible." You hear Nel shut her book and stand.

"I can see how my presence might upset you, but I can assure you I mean no harm to any Shinigami." He approaches her drunkenly.

"You've killed an eaten Soul's...you digust me." You reach out and grab him by the back of his Shihakusho. You shove him toward the door.

"Go sleep it off, ya drunk!" He grumbles something under his breath before leaving the room. You turn to face the rest of your squad. "As for the rest of you, let me make it as clear as possible. Arrancar, Visored, Shinigami...we're all brothers in arms in this squad. If I catch ANYONE, and I mean anyone, bad mouthing another there will be punishment."

You sigh and run your fingers through your hair. "I've spoiled my appitie...I'm going to retire for the evening. Everyone feel free to do as you please." After you collect your Zanpakutō you leave the room...
