Neither -- Gunn changes plans.

On the plus side for Gunn, it wasn't easy to find a particular person in a teeming mass of humanity like Los Angeles. On his home turf he could avoid Buffy (he hoped), but finding and warning Wes and Cordy at the same time...

He concluded that his best option was to circle around a bit, shake Buffy's tail, then call Lorne. Lorne could find and hide Wes and Cordy while Gunn kept Buffy busy. It wasn't a great plan, but with the hotel now enemy headquarters it was the best he could manage on the fly.

After half an hour of running, dodging, and doubling through back alleys, Gunn was dirty and tired, but pretty sure he was safe. The click of high heeled shoes hitting pavement as Buffy chased him (how could that bitch run faster in heels than he could in sneakers, anyway?) were gone. He waited several minutes, tense and still as a hunted animal (which, after all, he was). Nothing. Just the background hum of life in LA -- the drone of traffic and other sounds he'd lived with his whole life.

Cautiously he made his way to Lorne's club, pausing repeatedly and checking behind him. No one on his tail. He sighed in relief as he turned the last corner and saw the club ahead. Safety -- comparative safety, anyway -- lay at the end of the block.

He never got that far.
