Nefarious Physics level 20k

Scarlet and Lady Jaye walked into the small conference room and were met by the secret squirrels.

“Hello, here for your briefings?” the Sergeant in charge of the squirrels.

“No,” Scarlet smiled, “the free coffee.”

“Coffee,” Lady Jaye chuckled, “Our Strikers need an oil change.”

“Oh that’s foul,” Scarlet took a sip, “So what do you have for us Sergeant Hoffer?”

“May have a lead on the Baroness,” the Sergeant smiled, “Spadroon?”

“Small town in Vermont,” Spadroon said turning on a power point, “The night after you raided the Cobra installation on the great lakes, there was a home invasion, ****, robbery and ****. The manager of a one hour glasses shop was kidnapped in the middle of the night driven to his store and after a few hours was killed. We finally got something when the items list hit the FBI wire. Items taken were lens, frames, and cash. These were the model frames taken.”

The next slide on the power point was as set of three different black rimmed frames. The same type that both Joe intel members recognized as being they type worn by the Baroness.

“Please tell me you have something else,” Scarlet asked.

“Not as good as you would like,” Spadroon clicked the remote, “As you can see there are too many possibilities to really do anything but wait for more info.”

The slide was a map, with one red house and a red knife surrounded by hundreds of green doors, black doors, and green buildings icons.

“Ahh?” Lady Jaye asked.

“These are the victims home, store and every factory, mine and mines converted storage facilities in the one-hour drive range.

“Fuck,” Scarlet breathed.

“Are you sure about this?” Jen asked.

“No,” Anastasia kept the façade of her confidence, “However I am sure that I will not allow anyone else to command the champions if this is successful.

Anastasia looked at the mix of machines. It was either going to work, or blow up all of New England and Quebec. They had used parts salvaged from the McGuffin Device, the M.A.S.S., the Brain Wave Scanner, the matter transmutator, Hi-Freq, cybernetic control disks, a submarine’ nuclear power plant, an MRI machine and a Whisky Still. If it worked, then the Baroness would be able to pull someone from one world and bring them to her world, also implanting them with the desire to be her loyal champion. Well that was the theory at least. Anastasia was sure of one thing, even if it did work this machine would hurt like hell.

“Fix the restraints,” Anastasia ordered.

The technicians were powering up the system. One of them, a former Communist Chinese scientist actually marked the crucifix on his forehead. Anastasia began taking deep breaths as the machine started up. A powerful migraine started to form. She reached out with her mind and was able to see across time and space. To her shock she managed to vinegets of various things, all from angles she had never seen them in books and on the TV. She needed to concentrate and pull one character. It would take all of her strength to realize that character in her world, especially under her control!
