Need More Firepower
You quicken around from the Arcanine and bolt in the other direction, **** to flee your intimidating predator. Fighting that monster would've been an absolutely stupid idea from what you've seen from his size and speed in action. Pounding your feet into the gravel, your mad dash towards the street corner strangely felt a bit more comforting even though your heart was about to explode from your rib cage. The city really was a maze with a chasm of roads, alleys, and trench bridges that all held the potential of confusing the Arcanine for his dinner could have gone, but that would require gaining some distance between the two of you and you still doubt that you can outmatch such a large feral's speed. You turn the corner and dash into a separate street as you hear the hungry Arcanine's paws skid against the gravel too and twist around to continue his pursuit behind you. Noticing a split in the road, you turn your entire body rapidly in a **** escape.
You maneuver through multiple Redeemer's Grotto soldiers and infected ferals that were still rampaging through out the entire lay-out of the city, occasionally almost getting caught in the grasp of the purple-eyed freaks. Spotting an oncoming and infected Pidgeotto gliding down with talons outstretched, you duck under the bird of prey as it swishes right past you and into the open gullet of a Pelipper soldier pursuing it. Suddenly, you feel yourself stop immediately in your dash and press deeply into a smooth, yet pudgy surface until you are knocked back into the ground by the sheer rebounding ****. Rubbing your eyes, you look up to see the Village Chief, holding his yellow, globular belly while angrily bellowing, "Alright feral, you chose the wrong stomach to- Oh! Lace! I was almost about to stuff that body of yours into my mouth there for a second! I was wondering why a Lucario ran into my gut."
The Charizard's hand presses the area of his gut to where you had apparently crashed into. His shoulders and head are still concealed by the Aggron skeleton armor he wears seemingly always, so maybe it was to protect him from being eaten too easily by infected. They certainly wouldn't want to try to guzzle him up in their throats with that wide and spiked shelling around their dragon meat. He chuckles as he swats away a feral with his mighty tail, offering a hand for you to stand back up with. Patting your back, he continues with a cheery smile in the time of crisis, "You certainly are in for a treat tonight! I believe this is the largest battle we've had for months, and you've luckily made it here just in time! I could use some help at the bridge. Several ferals are making a hot mess out of most of our constructions, but our main bridgelines are definitely not the easiest to rebuild. Care to fight with me on our way there?"
Just then, a loud crash blasted far behind you. The Arcanine looks back and forth down the street from its sudden halt to see where you had run off to. Its violet gaze fixes itself to you and the plumpy orange dragon standing next you. It eagerly licks its lips and charges with both you and the chief growing a tad pale. Tugging at your arm, Ryzer drags you into one of the rooms within a row of side street buildings. The Charizard slams the small door shut once the two of you take refuge within the clay-walled room, with the Arcanine quickly arriving outside the doorstep. Releasing you, he urged, "Damn! The bridges will have to wait. He's certainly a large feral to say the least, and that wall isn't going to last long. We need to come up with a plan before it makes its way inside and makes us both its' meals, and I don't want my village knowing it lost its leader to squirming in some animal's belly."
Suddenly, the infected canine halts in front of the building, lowering his head down to stare at the two morsels in front of him through an empty window. It begins to claw at the walls and kick at the openings, breaking or cracking the walls around them every now and then!
1. It barges itself in!
2. The Village Chief thinks of a plan.
