Near a group of couples

There were a few couples our age, so we settled in at a table next to them.

There are 2 couples there, and it is obvious they know each other, and have decided to vacation together.

We could tell they'd been drinking for a bit, as their speech was a little louder than it should be.

The girls were sitting on one side of the table and the guys on the other.

The guys were talking about cars, and my husband was able to answer one of the guy's questions. This in turn led us to pull up our chairs and join the group.

Introductions were made, and we learned that Kristy and her husband Keith had been married for 10 years. Their neighbors, Scott and Julie had only been married for about a year.

They told us they were in town for Corvette week at the beach, and the guys were thinking about walking over to a car show.

They asked my husband if he wanted to join them, and my husband answered, "No thanks. I promised my wife I would stick with her tonight"
