Alex was not offered any sort of covering as the cart bumped it's way across campus. They had to stick to sidewalks and pathways which meant cutting through a steady stream of students preparing for noon classes.
With her arms cuffed behind her back there was nothing she could do to preserve her dignity besides cross her legs and look down at the ground trying to cover her face with her hair.
They retraced Alex's naked steps back to the climbing rope only to find the class already gone.
Officer Holloway insisted that she had to drop Alex off with a school official or legal guardian. Alex's mother was at the pep-rally so that's where they were now headed.
Her entire school had been let out of classes for a half-day to allow for the rally and an early start on spring break. Most of the students were already in the small sports stadium but grace still blushes all over again as they began to pass into the people she knew.
Alex's mother was apparently already inside as well. Alex pleaded with the official to let her put something on before they went inside.
