Nah, let's get home

You could already feel the effects of the days fucking adding onto the heat to make your whole body feel like it is being pushed down into the ground.

You keep your head down as you march through the park, hearing the odd sounds of sex that you have come to expect but you can’t even bring yourself to look up.

You have a little trouble finding the portal in your current state but eventually, you find yourself stumbling through it back into our world. Feeling a slight lurch as if stepping off of a ship after a bad storm.

You make your way home, your mind never straying far from that odd place on the other side of the portal. You know that if you go back you risk being trapped, the portal couldn’t last forever could it?

Even if wanted to, you have a life on this side, you have people who rely on you and a job. Not to mention it had seemed like that place was pretty well doomed. You could maybe have a little more fun over there but eventually, you would need to come back to the real world.
