Ms Lanes Office

You go up 3 flights of stairs and think better then trying to be a detective as the place has more then likely already been turned upside down. Going straight to Ms Lanes office you don't want to them to get the wrong idea about you and when she said main office wow she was not kidding this is a very nice office but you do not see this as the sort of office someone like Ms Lane would be working in for some reason it seems to small or not grand enough. Ms Lane is sitting behind a desk that just does not fit her and you do not get it even as she gets up and comes round the desk, "thank you for coming on such sort notice Mr Doe please have a seat".

At this point you notice a very odd smell in the office and you can only assume it is coming form burning incenses sticks on her table and the smell is strange to say the least. Thinking why is she burning shit like that the look on your face has her give you a weak smile, "ah yes sorry about the smell Mr Doe one of are more excitable researchers came into my office just after are conversation and had to demonstrate his latest bug repellent can you believe it smelt ten times worse then this a few hours ago".

Finding that hard to believe this place must have been unusable if it was that bad, laughing you simply say "no really it was worse then this, wow I fell sorry for you Ms Lane it must have been some bug repellent". The angry snort she gives lets you know she is not that pleased, "oh it had better be or that man is going to lose his job this stuff cost a small fortune to make and if it doesn't do what we need it to well the door is always open for new talent Mr Doe". Thinking it best to get back on track as Ms Lane seems to not be someone you want to get on the wrong side of you ask her why you are here, "Um ok Ms Lane what is it you wanted to discus with me Ms Lane".

Propping herself on the edge of her desk Ms Lane looks at you sternly, " Mr Doe its just that we have found some notes that back up your information, it would appear Professor Nailis had help with his latest project he was working on for us, but decide not to tell us who this person was, now this may just be an innocent accident on his part or a deliberate act on his part to prevent the other party getting any of the benefits".

Wondering what she means by that you ask for some clarification why would he not inform someone about who he was working with or even leave clue to the persons identity, "benefits you ask what sort of benefits are we talking about that would make him do this". Waving her hand as if you have asked the right question Ms Lane leans back and oh boy oh boy you do not know why but you have been seeing women in a new light lately for some reason, you are not gay but you never really rated women like you do now. The suit it self is over a thousand dollars worth as you know the make is not off the rack but hand tailored by the markings. The odd thing is before you would not have even noticed the suits price tag but now all the little things just pop for you.

While you have been day dreaming of sorts over Ms Lanes body and attire she carries on talking, " Mr Doe we offer a very hefty pay package to are staff here, as well as benefits for hitting targets on time, ahead of time and so on. Now if we only are aware of one person working on a project only one person will receive these benefits so we are worried this third party may in fact be behind the missing information or even the drugging of Professor Nailis as they found he was pocketing all the cash for himself".

Shit you didn't think it could be this bad, this sounds like everything that happened was revenge and now you seem to be stuck in the middle of it but what if they ask if you know who the person is, you did not want to get Professor Rai into trouble but with what you have given them you are making her look like the guilty party.
