Mr Barshford [Route C]

You think it's safest to sit in the spare seat next to Claire.

Mr Barshford sits at the head of the table, and the birthday girl Amy at the opposite end. Mirry sits directly opposite and Mrs B next to her and her husband.

As you sit down next to Claire Amy suddenly jumps up.

"I call swapsies Claire!" says Amy.

"What?"

"It's my birthday, so I want to call swapsies and sit next to Jack."

"Oh I see. Of course."

Amy lands in the seat next to you and giggles excitedly. You return a smile.

"Actually," Mr Barshford says, "I call 'swapsies' too."

Everybody goes quiet.

"Come on," he continues, "I want to take the chance to get to know young Jack better. This is my last chance I'll be working most of this week. Come on Amy move."
