"Oh," was all you could manage to say as Melody's words rang through your head.
"Yeah," Melody replied.
The two of you looked at each other before dropping your glances to the ground.
You kicked the ground. "Uh, why?"
"Things with James— I wasn't the only American girl he liked."
"Oh."
Melody shivered. "Look, Jack, can we take this inside? It's freezing out here."
