Chapter 49 by vgadict vgadict

What's next?

Morning preparation

You awoke to the monotone robotic voice of MPAD-24 saying, "Wake up. Wake up. Wake up," over and over, and you vaguely remembered ordering it to wake you in the morning. If it was closer, you may have reached out and slammed your hand over the robot to quiet it.

"That's enough!" you cried out. "I'm awake." You were, barely at least. As you reclined on your back, letting your eyes slowly refocus, you thought about the day ahead. The ceremony for the Odyssey was a few hours away which would give you enough time to make a few more adjustments to your speech and rehearse it. However, even if you gave a fitting eulogy, and the captain followed it up with some kind of pyrotechnic display, it would likely soon be forgotten. Was there a way to make a more permanent commemoration of those lost aboard the Odyssey?

As you looked around your sparsely appointed quarters for ideas, you glanced at your modified uniform and suddenly had an idea. "MPAD-24, am I allowed to use the MatGen?"

"Use of the MatGen is permitted," the robot answered. "Access is restricted to using basic materials." Then it morphed into a console version showing the MatGen interface.

After navigating through a series of menus, you eventually found some options that seemed suitable. Then you set to work making a simple commemorative plaque that featured the emblem of Odyssey copied from the patch on your uniform, along with words on the front that said, "In memory of the 55 brave crew members of the Odyssey that died here." On the back, you added a personnel message for anyone that might come across it later. "I, Skylar Furton, the lone survivor rescued by the Starpoint, will carry forward our dreams of exploration." After finalizing the selection, you activated the control and waited. Several seconds later, a panel on the wall opened, revealing the newly created memorial. You looked it over, decided it was satisfactory, and then laid it on the table for now.

Before closing the MatGen interface, you decided to investigate other things you could make. You briefly considered redesigning your uniform to cover your transplanted cock more comfortably, but you'd begun to enjoy the feeling of letting it hang out freely. Thus far, nobody on the Starpoint seemed to care that your dick was on full display, so whatever modesty issues you were concerned about weren't shared by the others on board. Instead, you examined what other clothing options you might be able to make and found some interesting choices to consider. Among them was a simple band that apparently could be worn in a variety of ways, such as around the waist like a belt, over one shoulder like sash, around an arm like a wristband, and so forth. It also featured something called "Selective Sizing Technology" that allowed it to quickly adjust it's overall dimensions. Using it as a belt would help solve one of the main problems with your redesigned uniform. After adding a pattern to it which featured the logo of the Odyssey, you finalized the choice and started the machine. Soon after, the panel opened again, revealing the newly created band. A quick examination found the sizing was simple to adjust. You pulled the band up around your waste like a belt and adjusted it to a comfortable size, with the logo at the front as if it were a decorative belt buckle.

While you continued to look through other options in the MatGen interface, there was a sound at your door.

Who is it?
