More on MC organizations

In the BABYLON 5 sci-fi show there is a government run organization called the psi-corps the psi-corps consists of more "mind powers" than just mind control but it is still a prime example of something started with good intentions going bad. In existence for around a hundred years, the psi-sorps eventually becomes a shadow government in and of itself effectively controlling most other government. With a large group of people who could alter our minds what kind of security or guarantee of safety could we truly have? By the end of the shows run, the psi-corps has supposedly been "cleaned up" all of the corrupt MC'ers have been arrested and had their powers nutralised or been killed in a "psi-war". But again all we would really have if such a situation actualllyhappened would be the words of the remaining MC'ers. No actuall MC organization could ever be fully trusted and in todays world the existance of such an organization would probably lead to a war only seen in science fiction.
