The car ride home was quiet, the hum of the engine and the occasional tap of Mia’s fingers on her phone the only sounds breaking the silence. David stared out the window, his mind churning through the therapist’s session—the revelation of legal paperwork, Ellen’s calm explanation of signing forms at his birth, Mia’s casual agreement to the same when she turned eighteen. The idea that his ownership of his mom and sister was documented, official, filed with some faceless government office, felt like a weight he couldn’t shake. Mark’s vague assurances hadn’t helped, and the surreal obedience of Ellen and Mia during the session only deepened his unease.
They pulled into the driveway, the familiar sight of their house doing little to ground him. As soon as they stepped through the front door, Ellen and Mia began shedding their clothes, following the “naked in the house” rule David had set earlier. Ellen slipped off her sweater and jeans with the same practiced ease she’d shown all day, folding them neatly on a chair in the entryway. Mia kicked off her leggings and hoodie, tossing them onto the pile with a carefree shrug, her ponytail bouncing as she moved. Within seconds, they stood bare, their expressions serene, as if this were as routine as hanging up their coats.
David’s stomach twisted, but he was too drained to react. He trudged into the living room and sank onto the couch, the worn cushions creaking under his weight. “Mom, Mia, come sit with me,” he said, his voice flat, almost mechanical.
Ellen moved immediately, settling on the couch beside him, her posture straight but relaxed, her hands folded in her lap. Mia started to sit but paused, glancing at him for direction. David rubbed his temples, the weight of the day pressing harder. “Mom, don’t… don’t play with me right now,” he said, referencing the second rule he’d set. “Mia, kneel and… suck my cock.”
Mia nodded, dropping to her knees in front of him without hesitation, her hands moving with the same casual obedience she’d shown all day. Ellen sat quietly, watching him with that warm, devoted gaze, as if waiting for his next word. David’s heart pounded, guilt and curiosity warring within him, but he pushed it aside, focusing on Ellen. He needed answers, something to anchor this madness.
“Mom,” he began, his voice low, “I want to talk about Dad. What happened to him? Where is he? You said you signed those papers when I was born, but you didn’t say anything about him.”
Ellen’s expression softened, a flicker of something—nostalgia, maybe—crossing her face. “Your father… I haven’t seen him since around the time you were born, Master. He was there at the hospital, but after that, he left. I don’t know where he went. He was… a complicated man.”
David’s brow furrowed, Mia’s movements a faint distraction he tried to ignore. “Wait, you said you signed the paperwork to be my **** when I was born. That’s the same time Dad was there. Did he have something to do with it?”
Ellen tilted her head, her green eyes thoughtful, as if connecting dots she hadn’t considered before. “Yes, Master, now that you mention it… it was your father who set it up. The hospital staff brought me the forms, but he was the one who insisted I sign them. He said it was important, that it was for you, for our family. I didn’t question it—he had a way of making things feel… right.”
David’s pulse quickened, a spark of clarity cutting through the fog. “So, Dad made you sign the papers? He’s the reason you and Mia are… my slaves?”
Ellen nodded, her voice calm but certain. “Yes, Master. Your father arranged it. I was the first to sign, right after you were born. And when Mia was old enough, he wasn’t around anymore, but I took her to sign the same forms. It felt like the natural thing to do, to follow through on what he’d set in motion.”
David leaned forward, his mind racing. “How? How did he do it? How did he make you and the hospital and… whoever else agree to this? To make you my slaves, to file it with the government?”
Ellen’s brow creased slightly, her hands shifting in her lap. “I don’t know the details, Master. Your father was… persuasive, especially with women. He had a way of talking, of making people see things his way. I don’t remember the specifics of how he arranged it—just that he was certain it was what needed to happen. The hospital staff, the clerks at the county office… they all listened to him. I trusted him, so I signed.”
David’s breath caught, his thoughts spiraling. Persuasive, especially with women. The phrase stuck, a puzzle piece slotting into place. Every woman called him Master—Clara on the street, Lila at the coffee shop, Sarah at the therapist’s office. Could it be connected? Had his father done something, not just to Ellen and Mia, but to the world, to make David the focal point of this universal title? And then he’d vanished, leaving David to deal with the consequences?
He leaned back, his eyes fixed on the ceiling, Mia’s presence a steady rhythm he barely registered. “So, Dad set this up—made you and Mia my slaves, got it all legalized somehow—and then he just… bailed. And now every woman calls me Master, like it’s some universal law. You think that’s connected? That he did something to make that happen too?”
Ellen’s expression grew thoughtful, but she shook her head. “I don’t know, Master. It’s possible. Your father was… different. He had a presence, a way of bending things to his will. But I don’t know how he did it, or why. I just know the papers were signed, and you’re our Master. That’s how it’s always been.”
David’s hands clenched into fists, his nails digging into his palms. His father—a man he barely remembered, a shadowy figure from his earliest memories—had orchestrated this. The slavery of his mom and sister, the legal binding, maybe even the way every woman saw him as Master. And then he’d disappeared, leaving David to navigate a reality he didn’t understand. The anger surged, but so did a flicker of determination. If his father had caused this, there had to be a trace, a clue—maybe in those government records, maybe somewhere else.
He looked at Ellen, her calm face a stark contrast to the storm in his mind. “Okay,” he said, his voice quieter now, resolute. “We’re going to figure this out. I don’t know how, but we’re going to find those papers, or someone who knows what Dad did. Because this—” he gestured vaguely at Mia, still kneeling, and Ellen, sitting attentively beside him—“this can’t be my life forever.”
Ellen nodded, her smile warm and unwavering. “Whatever you command, Master. We’re here to help you.”
Mia paused, looking up at him with a small smile. “Yeah, Master, just tell us what to do. We’ve got your back.”
David exhaled, the weight of their loyalty both comforting and crushing. He made a mental note: his father was the key, the one who’d set this in motion. The slavery, the title, the way the world saw him—it all tied back to a man who’d vanished when David was a baby. For now, he’d keep moving forward, keep searching, and hope the answers were out there, buried in paperwork or memory, waiting to be found.
