Molly escapes!

Molly pretended to go back and take a shower. She turned the water on, then listened nervously at the bathroom door to Tyrone's conversation.

"Yeah, she's taking a shower right now... She's clueless... Yeah, she'll be an easy one to break in. The little hoe's gonna make us lotsa money... K, see ya in 'bout an hour... Bye."

Molly closed the door and locked it. She knew she had to get out of there fast. Frantically, she checked the bathroom window, which seemed like her only hope. She tried to open it. It was painted shut! She looked around for something, anything.

Molly opened the medicine cabinet and found a pair of nail clippers with a nail file attached. She opened the file and started wedging the tip of it between the window frame and the window casing where the paint was the worst. The file slowly cracked the paint loose on the one side. Quickly she did the same with the other side, and finally the paint cracked loose there, too.

Molly pushed on the window, and it slid upwards just enough so she could squeeze out through to the fire escape below. She put her bag out the window first. Then she carefully wiggled out the window and onto the fire escape herself. She ran down the stairs as fast as she could, until she reached the bottom, which led into a trash strewn alley. She looked around. She could either head out to the street and take her chances, or enter the side door of an abandoned building across the alley.
