Mitsurugi

As they neared each other, Mitsurugi kept in mind how agile Taki could be. If he missed this next shot, then it was curtains for him. This time he knew that it was a matter of striking at a speed not even Taki could keep up with.

It seemed as though time stopped. Seconds turned into hours. Mitsurugi could feel his heart beat in his chest. Taki had the upper hand this entire battle and was confident about winning, but also being cautious. That was dangerous. So Mitsurugi pulled out all the stops with this next move.

Twisting his blade at a reverse angle, he spun to the side of Taki and swung his blade horizontally. Hearing a shocked gasp from her, he was sure he hit his mark. With the grace of a swan but the strength of a tiger, he slashed his blade clean through her side, passing through her as well. But it was not as violent as one would think. No blood was shed. It was a technique he honed that struck the opponent with much ****, but caused no fatal wounds and drew not a drop of blood.

Looking over his shoulder at her, he saw Taki crumple to her knees, trembling. "H-how did I...." With a small thud, she hit the floor.

"Yes! Victory is mine!" Mitsurugi cheered himself on. It is true he almost forgot about why they were fighting and simply got into the bout for the sake of victory and pride. But seeing Taki's defeated state on the ground, a knowing smirk spread across his features. "Now to claim my prize."

He stood triumphantly over the grounded Taki, who only looked up and met his predatory gaze. Her eyes showed only admittance, as she accepted her fate. "Do what you wish. You won. I must submit to you."
