Mission Success! Father and Son Reunited!

As you sleep you begin to dream. In your dream you see a woman standing infront of you. There's a bright white light behind, watch makes it hard to see her face.

"John, my little John. To think you grow so big!", woman says as she laughs softly, "You make me so proud John. I know you'll be a strong Ninja just like me and your father".

The white light begins grow larger, before the woman is completely covered in light she says, "I love you John".

Your eyes shoot open as you scan the area you are in. You recognize the room immediately, you are in the Leaf Village hospital. You are laying in a bed in one of the patient rooms. You try to sit up but a sharp pain fills your body when you try to move.

"I wouldn't do that John", you hear a familiar voice say.

Turn to the door and see Kakashi standing there.

"Yo!", he says as he walks up to the bed.

"Kakashi-Sensei! What happened?! Is everyone okay?! How's my dad?!", you ask.

"Easy John! Everything is fine. I took care of the last ninja. The Hokage sent a medical squad who helped me get you and the others back to village. TenTen, Sakura and Ino are fine. Sakura and Ino got banged up pretty badly, but they are healing pretty quickly. TenTen only had some minor injuries. As for your dad and his team, they just got out of surgery. But from what the doctors said to me", Kakashi smiles (you think), "they should be just fine! And it's all thanks to you, John".

You sigh happily, "Everyone is okay".

You look at your hands to see that they are bandaged up.

"Kakashi-Sensei, what was that? How did my arms light on fire?!", you ask as you stare at your bandaged hands.

"It's called a Kekkei Genkai", you hear another voice say.

Your eyes widen as you turn you head and see your father, Satoru, sitting in a wheelchair infront of the door to your room. There's a nurse behind him who is pushing the chair.

"D-Dad!", you smile widely.

"There's the Leaf Shinobi that saved my life", Satoru chuckles as the nurse pushes the wheelchair next to your bed.

"Satoru, you should be in bed resting right now", Kakashi says.

"Ok come on Kakashi, quick being such a stick in the mud. If I wanted to get nagged at I'd go see the Hokage", Satoru says before he starts laughing at his own joke.

Kakashi just shakes his head and sighs, "You never change Satoru. Well I'll let the two of you catch up. I have to give my report to the Hokage".

Kakashi and the nurse leave the room.

"Dad, what's a Kekkei Genkai?", you ask Satoru.

"A Kekkei Genkai is a special ability passed down through blood. Very few clans have a Kekkei Genkai to pass down. But your mothers clan, the Ryu clan, possessed a Kekkei Genkai", you father explains.

"The Ryu clan? Why have you never mentioned them before?", you ask.

"Well it's not a nice thing to talk about. The Ryu clan controlled their Kekkei Genkai through anger and hatred. They had an incredible lust for battle caused by their anger and hatred. That lead to their destruction. You mother was the last of her clan because she find another way to control her Kekkei Genkai", Satoru says, "She thought about the things she loves and cares about. Her Kekkei Genkai was powered by her will to protect what she cared about", Satoru says.

"And guess who was the number one thing she wanted to protect! You're looking at him", your dad says before he starts to chuckle.

"You have the same will that she did, John. I wonder how proud she would be right now", Satoru says as he smiles at you.

"Mom's Kekkei Genkai...", you whisper to yourself.

"The Kekkei Genkai possesses two abilities. Dragon Blood and Dragon Skin. Dragon Blood allows you to light any part of your body on fire, as you did with your arms in your fight. It can also be used to increase the power of your fire justu. The second ability, Dragon Skin, allows your body to become fire proof, but it's much harder to develop than Dragon Blood. Your skin is slowly changing to become fire proof, but till then, you'll have to be careful about how big and hot you make your flames", Satoru explains.

"John, you are the last of the Ryu clan. The only person in the world who has Dragon Blood and Dragon Skin. You must use this ability the same way your mom did, to protect your home and everyone you love. You are now carrying your mother's legacy on your back", Satoru gives you a thumbs up, "No pressure kiddo".

You laugh softly, "This is kinda like one last gift from Mom. I promise I won't waste it".

You dad smiles, "I know you won't waste it. After all you never break your word".

"Now, I'm gonna let you get some rest. Besides I'm sure you are gonna have more visitors tomorrow once your friends finish healing. I'll see you later kiddo!", you dad says as he rolls himself out of your room.

"Mom, I promise, I'll honor your legacy! I'll restore the Ryu clan and make it the most respected clan in Leaf Village", you say as you stare up at the ceiling, "I never break my word! It's my Ninja Way!"
