Miss Patriot insists....sort of

"Detective, if you don't let me go with you I will start investigating Renee on my own. Then she really will become suspicious." Miss Patriot said hoping to change Robin's mind.

“Alright, but you will wait in the car.” Robin said seeing the determined look from Miss Patriot’s eyes reflecting through the mirror. “Then I will tell you whatever I find out.” Robin snuck a glance at Miss Patriot’s body and found the younger woman very attractive as she spoke. Robin was a closet lesbian and thought under other circumstances she would like to meet whomever Miss Patriot was at a bar. “And I want to know everything you have found out as well.”

“Agreed.” Miss Patriot said, smiling. The heroine then told the detective about the clues she had found and about her experience at the wharehouse while they drove to meet with Renee. When they arrived, Miss Patriot repeated that she would wait in the car. After Robin had gotten out of the car though and walked into the building, Miss Patriot exited the car as well and headed for the structure. She did not head for the door though. Instead she ran up to the wall and made her way around the building, hoping to find a window into Renee’s office.

Inside, Renee’s secretary Ruth ushered Detective Falkesgrath into Renee’s office. “Here is Detective Robin Falkesgrath.” Ruth said.

Renee gestured for Robin to enter and Ruth left and closed the door. “Please come in detective and sit down.” Renee said walking over to the couch and sitting down. She patted the seat next to her. On a small table in front of the couch was a pitcher of water and two glasses. Renee poured water into both and took one.

“Thank you.” Robin said walking over and sitting next to Renee. She then took the other glass and took a sip. “I wanted to ask you some questions. Are you aware of the recent string of jewelry store robberies?”

“Yes, everyone in the city probably is.” Renee replied, then with a shocked look on her face. “Is one of my students or staff involved?”

“I don’t know yet, but some clues have been found that may indicate that.” Robin said shifting on the couch.

Renee leaned in and looked at Robin, looking the detective in the eyes. “It is hot in here isn’t it? I am sorry. The heat has been like this for the past week.”

“It is hot in here.” Robin commented.

“Why don’t you take off your jacket?” it might help. Renee continued staring into Robin’s eyes and smiled. Robin slipped her jacket off giving Renee a better look at her. “Now why don’t you tell me what makes you think someone affiliated with this place may be involved.” Renee said. As she did she placed one of her hands on Robin’s knee.
