Miss: Brian comes in late while you're on shift

"Sorry, sweetie-pie, looks like eleven-thirty," Brian tells you on the phone. "Tire went out coming off the interstate."

"Oh hon," you say. "Are you all right?"

"Eighteen-wheeler still rolls if you lose one," Brian says. "But yeah, eleven-thirty, probably."

"Well, and I'm on shift," you say. "You be safe getting home. Just sleep in the office there if you're too tired."

Brian says, "Well, if it's not too late, maybe I can swing a ride up and get a piece of cherry and some coffee."

"You just be safe," you tell him. "I'll talk to the angels to keep a special eye out on you."
