You let her know what you think from the expression on your face, "Surely you know more than anyone as a mother how ridiculous this is!"

She seemed to tremble but reflected your expression, "Why- how dare you accuse me of being a bad mother! I've done nothing but look after that boy, he needs discipline at times! We all do, and I feel very sorry for you.. For it looks as though you've gone too long without it."

Her partner began to call and she glared at you one last time before flipping around and marching away.

You sat back into the bench and thought about the encounter.

It's possible they're right and I am the one out of line...is it probable though?
