Chapter 4

What does Alexa get?

Mimosa

"A mimosa, please." Alexa said, already pulling out her wallet. The flight attendant checked her ID skeptically, handing it back after a thorough lookover.

"And for you, miss?" She directed it towards the older woman next to Alexa.

"I'm easy. Same as her, please." She said, as the flight attendant nodded and let the two women alone. Briefly Alexa's seat partner began to put her headphones back in, and then spoke up.

"Good choice sweetie. I personally enjoy whiskey on the rocks for a long flight, but you made me try something new." She said, smiling at the girl.

"Thanks. I never fly to much, so I need it." Alexa responded, not really ready to have a full on conversation with the woman. If she could, she would just go back and enjoy her music.

The two, however, made small talk for awhile. Alexa learned her name, Carol, and Carol learned her name, Alexa. Alexa learned she was a mother of three, who had just helped her youngest move in to his second year of university. Carol learned Alexa was a 24-year old (which got a surprised look on her face), who was on an international business trip. Once the drinks arrived, they spoke more, and Alexa gawked at the middle age woman. While she wasn't a model, Alexa certainly did think she could fit into the category of attractive, especially with her tight blouse and hugging pants.

"Funny, I'm headed the same way Lexi. You don't mind if I call you that, do you?" Carol said, sipping on her drink in contrast to Alexa's fast gulp. "I always liked that name, even if I never had girls."

"No problem. As long as I don't have to call you Miss Carol." Alexa said, giving the woman a genuine smile. Her earlier apprehension at talking with the older lady was gone, replaced by enjoyment of hearing her stories. Usually she did not like being called Lexi, but the infusion of **** lessened her annoyance at the term. The woman laughed, and smiled back.

"No, I wouldn't even make my sons call me that!" The flight attendant came by. She reappeared once more while the two were talking, giving her a glass of water and another drink.

The two continued conversing. Alexa talked about the book she was reading, and Carol discussed the sappy romance novel she had been so invested in. Both shared their enjoyment at that type of literature. Carol talked about hwo she had met her husband, Steve, by her love of sappy romance novels. After her second Mimosa, Alexa allowed the flight attendant to cut her off. A big bottle of water replaced the drink, along with a cup of straight orange juice. Not thinking much about all the liquid entering her body, Alexa felt a slight shake in the cabin of the plane.

"No worries folks, just some slight turbulence. Should be the only we encounter on this flight." The captain's voice said, a deep, rich male voice said.

The turbulence got Alexa out of her conversation stupor, as she felt her bladder demanding some release. Getting up from her seat, Alexa felt the plane shake again, and a flight attendant spoke up. "Miss, please wait until the fasten seatbelt light is off before walking around the cabin."

Alexa sat down sheepishly, and Carol gave her a smile of pity. "Comes at the worst time, right?"

"Yep. Hopefully it ends soon." Alexa said, sipping down water as she failed at reassuring herself. Holding her legs together tightly, she continued her small talk with the friendly Carol. She could tell it was most likely obvious to the woman what was wrong with her, but she continued nonetheless. The plane shook again and Alexa put the water bottle between her legs, squeezing it tightly.

Does she have enough time to get up, and does Carol notice anything wrong with her new friend?
