Mildly Annoyed (Yes)

He looked over at you with disdain in his dark eyes. "Now, Miss May, why would I wish to engage in such foolish behavior? Unlike my colleagues, or so it would seem, I actually have a shred of dignity left, and I'm not going to **** myself by acting in such an immature and embarrassing way. Perhaps I ought to send you lot to bed, to sleep off your idiotic state of inebriation."

His reaction disappointed you, but you didn't give up. "Come on, Professor, please? It'll be fun! Besides, no one's going to judge you when we're all doing the same thing."

He sighed, weighing his options. He was fairly sure if he continued to refuse, you would simply keep asking and asking until you wore him down enough for him to agree to your request. It was an immature tactic, but he knew you weren't to proud to resort to it, especially in your condition. Really, he couldn't expect anything more from a student. Sure, you were smart, an you may have legally been an adult, but you were still a child in his eyes, and he had no high expectations left for children after having taught for so long.

However, if he agreed, then perhaps you would soon find someone else to bother, and he'd be able to leave. After all, if he made an appearance on the dance floor, no one would be able to claim he hadn't been engaged in the party, and he'd be able to make his exit that much sooner.

But a part of him, a very small part of him, one he would never admit existed, wanted to join the festivities. That part felt like an outsider amongst his fellow teachers, and was just searching for an opportunity to be included. Of course, he would never admit to feeling that way, to himself or anyone else.

With a heavy sigh, he slowly got to his feet. "Fine. If you insist, Miss May."

You squeal in delight, jumping up and leading him toward everyone else. "Thank you, Professor!"
