Might of the Hyena

Thinking you can beat the infected quickly Vargus's help, you went to all fours and charged forward, colliding with the Mightyena and rolling on the floor. The infected let out a yelp in shock as he wrestle with you for awhile, you two rolling in the dirt as you both tried to get on top of the other. Soon you found yourself on your back with the dark type staring down at you, growling in front of your face. "Nnnghhh... Get off of me you mutt!" you grunted, barely getting your paws out to grab at his face to keep him from lunging at your neck. He thrashes around your hands, trying to get himself free as you wince from the teeth pressing against your paws.

Vargus managed to get himself up and noticed you were struggling with the infected Mightyena, so he takes a deep breath and spews a strong blast of water towards the dark type. He saw this and leapt high up into the air, away from the water gun attack. Though you were free to move out of the way and get yourself back up. The dark type landed on his hind-paws as he stare at the two of you before going on all fours, preparing for battle. Your paws wince from feeling the teeth prickling at your skin, but you shook them off as you charged towards the infected, intent on finishing the battle quickly to help Neku.

Before you were a couple feet away from him, he suddenly vanished and in the next moment, you felt your face being **** to a side from a blow. You caught glimpse of the infected with his paw connecting to your cheek before you try and do the same, but the Mightyena just ducked out of the way and jumped back. You grumbled at the agile infected as your cheeks spark a bit electricity as you started firing quick burst at him, hoping to slow him down.

Even though they move fast, the Mightyena doesn’t let them hit him. Vargus tries to land a hit on him with Hydro Pump, but the dark type made a strong leap upwards, the blast shooting under him.

“Slippery infected isn’t he?” Vargus stated staring at the dark type landing on his four paws before standing back up.

“This is bad, I don’t know how long Neku can hold back the Scolipede.” You stated, before realizing you haven’t been paid any attention about the Zoroark after choosing to help Vargus.

"Um... Rai... The Scolipede's gone..." Vargus spoke out and when he said that you looked at where the infected was supposed to be, but you don't see him or Neku anywhere. Your heart sinks as it doesn't take a genius to think how it most likely ended.

"Neku..." You muttered, blaming yourself for his face. Just as you look back towards the Mightyena, you saw him launch a ball of shadowy energy towards you. Reacting fast, you formed your own ball of electric energy and hurled it towards his. The two attacks collide and an explosion pushed you and Vargus back.

Your body was starting to get wore out from the battle and you not sure how much longer this is gonna continue and if you can even last. You think about Rachael and Felix and worried about leaving them in case they return, but you also think about Kate and if something happens to you and Vargus, she would be **** especially in her ill state. Though the idea of leaving your friend and someone who's so far on your side leaves a bad taste in your mouth. The smoke was gonna clear soon, so you need to make a decision now.

Get your sister and retreat for now.
