Michelle (best friend)

Alexa had been needing a place to stay while her apartment building was closed due to asbestos. She needed somewhere quick and close and her parents were doing renovations at their house now that both their children had moved out.

So Alexa turned to her best friend, Michelle. It had been awhile since she had seen Michelle, but she had been close to her when they drifted apart and she had also moved out of her mom’s home.

Alexa took a deep breath as she knocked on the door. Michelle opened the door and beamed as she saw Alexa. She immediately pulled Alexa into a hug. “Alexa, it’s been too long. Come on in.”

Alexa entered plopping her bags down and settling down on the couch. It was a decent sized apartment with separate rooms for the main and guest bedroom and the bathroom. The only thing Alexa was nervous about was her diapers. She often wet the bed and that caused a lot of problems for her.

There was one time she even wet the bed at a sleepover with Michelle when she was younger. Her mom had brought her diapers to wear and Alexa hadn’t talked about it ever since. So Michelle didn’t know that she still needed diapers.

“So, I guess I should unpack my things in the guest room,” Alexa said.

“What? Why?” Michelle asked. “We can share a room.”

“Michelle, we’re not kids anymore. I need my own space,” Alexa said.

“Nonsense. I insist you stay and sleep in my room,” Michelle said as she took Alexa’s bag and headed to the main bedroom.

“Michelle…” Alexa said as she followed her. “Come on. Why don’t I stay in the guest room? It makes sense.”

“The guest room isn’t for you,” Michelle said. “We literally slept together for a whole 5 years combined between sleepovers and everything else. And I want you nearby.”

Alexa found this strange. Yes, they had slept together on multiple occasions, but why was Michelle so insistent they sleep in the same room? Alexa wasn’t sure if she should try to insist on the guest room.
