Michael

“Hello, Eve here.” Eve says into her phone.
Her friends around her can hear someone replying, but they can’t make out the voice or words.
“Oh, hey Michael. Merry Christmas.” Eve says joyously.
After Michael says something else the joy on Eve’s face gets replaced by confusion.
“What do you mean? Why do I got to sit down?”
Eve’s friends now all look at her, also getting worried.
“Yes, Michael. I’m sitting. Now tell me what’s wrong?”
Her friends can’t make out what Eve hears from her phone but whatever it is, it shocks Eve.
“Oh god, no. Why did they do it? ” Eve asks.
After a pauze Eve says, “I’m sorry, Michael. I need to process this first. Try calling Sally and the rest of the committee, they’ll want to know about it too.”
Then Eve hangs up the phone.

“Eve? What was that all about?” A worried Ayita asks.
“Apparently a couple of black students broke into a sorority and **** all the white girls they could find.” Eve explains.
“What?!” Nearly everyone around her said.
“What the … what the fuck?!” Sylvie says. “How many were there?”
“The school security was only able to capture five of them, but according to some people there were about 30 of them.” Eve says.
“And how many did they get?” Lorena asks.
Eve swallows and says, “At least 40, maybe more.”
“Shit.” Wanda says.
“On fucking Christmas eve.” Kenta groans.

For some time, nobody says anything. Everybody is just too shocked.
Eventually Christine asks, “What now?”
“First and foremost I need to make sure all the victims are well taken care of.” Eve says. “Each of them need to be able to see a psychologist if they need to and some of them might need medical assistance.”
“What about the guys who did it?” Sylvie asks.
“We find out the identity’s of all the guys who did it, and kick them out. They have no place in this university.”
“What about the mandate?” Wanda asks. “Will this affect it in any way.”
“The 4th white girl Wednesday is already planned 3 weeks from now, with the last referendum on the Friday of that same week.” Eve says. “Chances are this event will cause too many students to switch back to oppose.”
