Mentally Attached

Veronica simply cant bring herself at understanding what was happening infront of her.

She picked the paper asking"Why do you want to resign adam?.I knew that this is your dream office.You are also getting ten times the amount than any other person beside me.I dont understand why you want to resign despite these privileges".

Looking at her confused face made adam grimaced painfully.

Because she genuinely cant seem to understand why he was doing it.

Its seems like a backstory was needed.

It was indeed his dream office and the pay is non questionable.

But.She is too attached to him.Not in a good way but more in a psychotic way like "I will do everything to make him happy".

Adam had enough and started walking to the exit door.

Veronica's brain restarted instantly seeing that he was leaving as his resignation paper came to mind.

Her entire body shivered in fright fearing that he will actually leave her.

She stumbled across her table in shock as she tried to reach out to him.

Adam heard a mechanical hiss behind him as something hard and big collided with him making him fall to ground.

He saw that it was Veronica as she laid on top of him grabbing his collar and asking"What did i do?.Did i do anything wrong to upset you?.I will do anything you ask me.Just tell the word.I can even give up my post and surrender the office to you.But please dont leave me.I beg you.I will anything to make you happy".

Adam grimaced seeing that she was about to cry.Her words were enough proof that she has officially gone crazy.

Adam knew that it was enough and gently picked her up like a child.

She weighted much lighter than girls her age.Because she dont have any legs.

There were only stumps from her thigh down to the point it was almost to the hip.

He moved the wheel chair aside and sat on the large couch with her still in his arms as she continued to cry.

He patted her head saying"Iam sorry dear.I went too far.But my point still stands.You went too far in coddling me.I think its timw to stop.I wont leave you just because iam not getting enough money.I stayed with you not for money but because you are my treasured student.So stop this".

Veronica shivered in arms and nodded her head and she continued crying.

Adam sighed remembering when exactly it started.

There were honestly three women in his life that are personal to him.He didnt have a mother since he was an orphan.

Chronologically speaking.Layla was the first woman since she is his childhood friend in orphanage.

Second was veronica and third being Stacia.

He worked as part time tutor for her in his college days.

He saw her going from a child to young adult.

It was because of her handcap.It was due to an accident in her childhood whih resulted in the **** of her mother.

As any child her age would do,she blamed herself for her mother's **** despite being a literal child.

Since her father is completely loaded.She was treated as a princess from young age,having everything brought to her knees.

He was one of the things as somebody need to teach her education.

They both quickly became very close since he was the only person who didnt showed any pity for her physical state.

Adam admits that due to his actions she became completely attached to him mentally.

She strived forward not becauze she want to be successful but rather because she want to make him happy by being successful.

He simply didnt put much care thinking that it was just a puppy love.But it became much worse.

During his university,he was **** to leave the state and thats when the accident happened.

Her father died due to heart attack making her the sole owner of everything her father owned.Which was a ton.

She was **** at an young age to fight of suitors and relatives that wanted to take advantage of a cripple like her.

She dont even want to call him in fear of dragging him into the mess.

But despite being victorious over everyone,it mentally changed her.

After he came back and looked for jobs at his dream company,imagine his surprise seeing her as CEO.

She knew from memories everything about him from his liked to dislikes.So she bought and absorbed the company just to make sure he gets inside easily.

From then on.She started completely coddling him.

She not only paid him ten times the wage but also gave multiple promotions in less time than what was needed.He earned the second most rigjt after veronica.Even his boss layla earned half as him.

She made sure to blacklist him from every other company to make sure that he has no other choice to stay at her office.

Many may think of her as crazy manipulative bitch but adam thinks otherwise.

Because she never touched his marriage.

Instead she even congratulated him by not only paying for their marriage but also bought a luxury two story house for them.

Many would think that its a dream come true but he was mentally exhausted at everything thrown at him.

He knew she was mentally disturbed towards him and striked at the thing that she fears.That was the reason he enabled her all these years.

Him leaving her.

Adam saw that she calmed down as she replied"Iam sorry for my actions Sir.But i was **** to live seeing that everyone wants money and things to live happily.So i thought that maybe you will be happy by everything i do.Please i sorry.I wont do this ever again.Just dont leave me".

Adam sighed as he hugged her much closer.He smiled seeing a genuine change forming within her.It will take time but it was atleast a start.

Adam teased her saying"Well i dont want you to completely stop it.Some perks here and there will be good".

Veronica chuckled at his attitude as the mood changed instantly.

She somehow felt free after a long time as she blushed remembering something.

Adam noticed her blush and asked"What happened?You were about to say something?.You can ask me anything dear".

Veronica lowered her head asking"Can you hug me like we used to do in past?".

Adam smiled at her request forgetting that she was still a kid in his eyes.

Veronica yelped cutely as adam wrapped his arms entirely across her chest and made her head nuzzle into head.To the point that veronica's entire body started snuggling into him.

Many may think of this as sexual harassment but for them it was a affectionate thing.

Veronica smiled feeling his warmth again after a long time.She remeber slapping his face when he hugged her to console her.

She felt her eyes getting heavy as she dozed off to sleep.

Adam saw veronica sleeping in his arms peacefully as he adjusted himself to not wake her up.

He smiled seeing her sleeping peacefully like the angel she was as he sat there knowing that it will take a while.

He hoped that atleast stacia is having an easier time with her mission.
