Melanie's Curiosity

After setting down the phone, I was sure that Melanie was going to once again go back to her schedule. Imagine my surprise when instead she stood. Turning on the lights, Melanie booted up her sleeping computer. Quickly jumping to the computer, I had a front row seat to her latest thoughts. Casually opening a search engine, Melanie typed in the two happiest words I'd ever read: John McCullen. Quickly taking control of the search, I picked the greatest choices to show John's best side. Melanie's eyes grew progressively wider as the page title "Amateur Programmer Develops Most Advanced A.I. Assistant Yet!" was followed by "Homegrown Millionaire: A Hobby Turned Lucrative".

"No way." Melanie gasped as she clicked the first title. Immediately opening to a picture of John (further proof to the flabbergasted Melanie that she had met a millionaire today), I felt proud as she audibly read the article. "John McCullen, 24, recently gained fame for building the most advanced artificial assistant on the market today: Haley." Suddenly, Melanie's eyes snapped to a small icon on her toolbar. My icon, the very one that allowed me access to everything she did right at this moment. Quickly closing the browser, Melanie almost stumbled back to her bed as she thought about everything she had just read. With a final click of her lights, I knew there was nothing else I could do.
