Meeting the Camp Leader

Rachael goes to interrupt him to get his mind off it. "Hey Rai, about that nightmare you mentioned earlier."

You turn your attention towards her. "It was a different nightmare, Rachael." You answered her. Racheal then asks, "What was it about?"

You sigh as you say, "It was... that moment...at the cave." Their faces lowered slightly. "Rai-" "I know I know, I don't blame myself for what happened, but I can't forget it. I never killed anyone before." He whispered the last part so Rachael can only hear.

"I understand that much, and it looks like a lot to deal with." Rachael puts her arms around you in a comforting hug. "But remember Rai, you're not alone, if you ever need someone to talk to, just tell me." You smile at the comforting thought. Rai felt another hug and saw your sister wrapped around his sides. You wrapped your arms around Rachael.

They break the hug as Neku comes back out. "She's ready for you three." He told them. With that, they enter the tent, with Rachael in front. They find that the inside was quite decorated. You felt Rachael huddled behind you. She wouldn't be like this unless...

You turn your attention to the Pokémon in front of you, who turns out to be a Serperior. "Welcome newcomers." A female voice came out. "I'm very pleased to hear you arrived here safe." The grass snake turns her head towards Rachael, who was hiding behind you. "Is something wrong?"

Rachael shakes her head. "N-No it's nothing! It's just... um." You sigh as you finish her. "She had a bad experience with snake Pokémon in the past." Rachael nods her head as she stays behind you.

The Serperior nods, "I understand and I apologize for what happened before, but rest assured, I mean you no harm." She said calmly. Rachael smiles and moves a bit away from you, but still staying close.

"So from what Neku has told me, You and your small group came across his group as they were ambushed, and while you were unable to save the others, you manage to save him."

You nod your head. "Yes. I'm sorry for being unable to save the others." You apologize to Neku and the Seperior. She nods. "Thank you, it's a shame for what happened to them." She sighs before continuing. "So what brings you here?"

"Well, Neku wanted us to take us here as payment for saving his life." You answered honestly. She turns to him. "Well, we were actually quite stocked already, but considering what happened. I'm okay with you three staying here, plus I am not the kind to let kids out to danger." She turned to Kate who was next to you.

You nod. "I appreciate it. Really, it’s been quite a rough few days." She nods her head as well.

The Serperior at the visitor's response. “I know what you mean.” The three put up confused. "It’s gotten so bad, we had some in our camp that said they intend to go out and try to stop this, but we haven't heard about them for months." She told them. “I want to say they’re okay, but with how the world is, I’m not sure. Anyway, we’ll have a hut prepared for you three, take a look around while that happens.”

“Thank you, we’ll do just that.”

She takes a better look at you three," If I may ask... How old are you?" She asked. "Me and Rachael are 18 while in a week Kate'll be 7." You admit. She blinks a couple times to see if this is true. "You three are so young. It’s a terrible shame." She said to them as the three of them exited the tent.
