Meet Kurenai! Your Temporary Teacher!

Third Hokage gets so frustrated with Konohamaru that he yells, "Just get out of my office! I'll deal with you later".

Konohamaru sticks his tongue out at his grandfather before running out the room while giving you an evil glare.

"You're lucky your grandpa is the Hokage or you would be so dead right now", you mumble to yourself.

"I'm very sorry for any trouble my grandson may have given you, John", Third Hokage sighs, "He's always been a trouble maker".

"Anyway, I'm sure you're wondering why I asked you to come meet with", he continues, "Kakashi has informed me that you have developed your mother's kekkei genkei. I expect you to become a ninja just as strong as she was"

"No pressure....", you think to yourself.

"I also wanted to inform you that your team is not currently in the village. They left a few days ago for a mission and have yet to return. So until they arrive back home, you will be working with Kurenai and her team", Hokage says while gesturing towards the woman standing next to him.

The woman introduces herself, "I'm Kurenai. You probably recognize me from the academy. I look forward to working with you for the next few days", she said before giving you a wide smile.

You blush and smile back, "Same here Kurenai-Sensei!"

"If it's okay with you, John, I'd like to take you to meet my team right away. They are expecting us at training site 9", Kurenia says.

"Just lead the way ma'am!", you reply.

You and Kurenai are about to leave when Hokage says, "Actually I need to speak to John. It's incredibly important".

Kurenia nods and says, "I'll be waiting at the entrance for you", before she leaves.

"Is everything okay Lord Hokage?", you ask.

"That's what I need to know. I'm sure you are somewhat aware of the dark history involving the Ryu clan. Their kekkei genkei was powered by anger and hatred. Their own evil was their demise. As you know your mother was against that way of living and found an alternate way to power her kekkei genkei, through hope and love. What I'm considered about, is how you will power this ability. It's quite easy to become consumed by anger and hatred. You could easily be swayed over to a dark path. The path your mother choose is a much harder one. Hope and love can become difficult things to hold onto in times of darkness and despair. I need to know which path will you choose, John? The easy path of darkness or the difficult path of light?", Hokage asks.

"Honorable Lord Hokage, I know the dark reputation my clan had in the past. As the sole member of the current Ryu clan, I want to reshape and rebuild the clan. I want the Ryu clan to be known for it's love and caring. Despite the difficulties I will face in life I will always follow the path my mother set for me. I'm going to follow the path of light", you say with determination in your eyes.

Hokage smiles, "Just what I expected from Suzuha's son. I'm sure you will honor your mother's legacy. You may go now"

As you leave you hear Hokage say to himself, "This generation of ninjas look promising".
