Outside the house, the two men compared notes on each home they'd visited. Others, who had gone to different homes in the neighborhood, uploaded notes onto an online database.
"Nothing too unusual about most of them...", the short one started.
"The fourth house we visited, you get the address for that?"
"Yeah. I was thinking the same."
"He definitely had more interest than the others did...", the taller one pointed with his pen. "His car hasn't moved either. Been over half an hour...not in any hurry anymore, by the looks of it."
"With him and three other high suspicion homes in the area, we've got the leads we need. If we get law enforcement involved, they'll be able to monitor more effectively. Judge already agreed to a blank warrant. All we need is for the police to narrow down the most likely household that might have seen her."
"Or be harboring her.", the taller one interjected.
His companion nodded. "Or that. Let's hope this moves quickly...that foster family said she ripped apart her hydration suit in one of her fits. She'll have to pop up sooner or later. She'll need more water than the bare minimum, eventually."
"Right...let's get in touch with house four's friends and family. Maybe they can tell us about some odd behavior. Law enforcement should be willing to let us handle that much, or at least tag along."
