McLafferty is Pleased

"I suppose losing Janet was worth it." McLafferty laughed to herself without mirth before getting up out of the tub and reaching for a towel.

"Crimson Caravan will be able to get connections with the Boomers now. So profits will...boom." Madeline said lounging in the hot water, savoring it. It had been a while since she had a hot bath.

"Indeed," McLafferty said drying off and grabbing her clothes "When you get fixed up you can tell Janet she can go. Her paperwork will be by the door."

Madeline smiled as McLafferty dressed and acted so matter-of-factly after the encounter. Madeline grudgingly left the tub and gathered her things--along with Red's paperwork clearing her of service.
