Mayhem has strong preferences for women and feeds on their anger of pleasure, Mayhem only bonds with men if extremely necessary, Mayhem can bond with several hosts simultaneously.

Mayhem only fuses the mind of the queens of the hive, the others will be totally under the control of the Symbiote, and the queens can't unbond with Mayhem because their body is fused with the Symbiote.
