Maybe this isn't the right moment...

It seems like a perfect moment to kiss this perfect woman, but as you make that slight hesitation, something in the night seizes your attention. Mandy follows your lead and glances out into the black heavens. There you see-- with no need of the telescope by your side-- a brilliant falling object, quite unlike the showers observed just a moment before. From space it sinks deeper and deeper into the atmosphere, far further than any mere meteor should. Then finally, with a great flash and low rumble, it disappears into the nearby hillsides.

Mandy watches with mouth agape, incredulous at what she's witnessed, and yet her eyes give away how excited she actually is. Never the type to hide her emotions, she starts to laugh.

"Oh my god," she cries, "what was that?" There's no way to give a definitive answer, but whatever it was, it must have been huge to survive a trip through the earth's atmosphere like that. Of course, Mandy isn't one to be satisfied with "must have been" either; she quickly grabs the lab keys and makes her way out to the parking lot. You ask her where she's going, and she replies very matter-of-factly, "To the van!" perhaps forgetting that the blue Kia Sedona was bought out of Dr Shin's own pockets, and is for research purposes only.

Outside, your friend climbs into the vehicle and revs the engine. "Aren't you coming?" she yells over the sound of the motor, "C'mon, you don't call this research?"
