Maybe see this as an opportunity?

You can watch in real time as she thinks through what she wants to say, rehearses it mentally, and decides she’s ready to just come out and say it. “Speaking for myself,” she begins, clearly doing her best not to come off as pushy, “If I found that some strange magical app had started transforming my, and turned me into a man...I’d probably see it as an opportunity.”

At first, you’re not sure if you’re hearing her correctly. “An opportunity?” you echo back, unsure if you’re really understanding what she’s trying to say.

Jennifer nods her head, and explains herself better. “I mean, I’m sure you understand what I’m trying to say. Living life as a woman, you occasionally get curious, you wonder what you’d be like if you could be a man, even if just for one day. And you don’t just have one day, you can be a man as long as you want, until you decide to try and turn yourself back. You can’t tell me you’re not curious. Not having to worry about periods, being passed over for every good job, and the sex...”

You sharply breathe in through your nose. That...is a point. You’d been trying not to focus on those thoughts, but there is definitely a part of you that sees all of this as a fun vacation, a way to see how the other half lives. Would it really be so wrong, just to enjoy yourself? But at the same time, you don’t want to lose who you are. You ask Jennifer, “I know we just met each other, but if you want to follow me on this journey, you have to promise me that you won’t let me go so far down this path, that I won’t ever want to turn back.”

She considers the idea, before smiling at you in a way that just makes you like her even more. “It’s a deal. If you’re okay with my helping hand, I’d love to go to your place, so we can have fun with this app.” It’s a big decision...do you really want to do that?
