Jack said in a stoic voice with some sarcasm as he looked the smiling Ashley "Well it looks like I can keep that money all to myself then." Ashley looked with a strange look and said "What?" Jack shook his head and said "Look Ashley, the gesture is nice and everything but I'm afraid that I'll have to call a rain check on dinner." Ashley asked a little hurt "Why? Is something wrong?" Jack looked down and sigh then he looked back up and said "No, it just that right now you caught me at a dangerous time right now and I can't afford to be in a relationship right now." Ashley said "I'm asking you for dinner not asking you to marry me." Jack replied with a small smile "I know but other people may see it as otherwise and I don't a repeat of last time besides..." Jack touched Ashley's left side with his right hand making her flinch because it was still too tender from their last match and continue "You got to rest up for your tittle match when you get better. So do yourself a favor and spend time with your daughter and don't tell anyone about what I did. Trust me it best both for her and you if you didn't. I hope you can understand." Ashley looked a little disappointed and said "Yeah I suppose you're right maybe I been away from her too long." She raised her right pointer finger at him and said with a smile "But I still hold you to that dinner when things get better." Jack smile back and said "Don't worry I won't forget it. Well see you around princess." Jack turned around and went into the shadows. Ashley replied back with a whispered "See you around too... hero." and she went the other way.
