Master Tong and matters to be evaluated

They spent little time getting back to Nora's car, speeding back to the mansion. Blair was quite confused by Nora's need to rush, but after they got back to Zane, well, things became crystal clear.

They found Zane in his study once again, but after he heard Blair's explanation of what happened along with Nora's, his normal aloof and relaxed demeanor quickly vanished upon hearing the name Master Tong. "No, no, that can't be right. He died, about one hundred years ago." He stood up, his eyes filling with rage as he continued to speak. "He was knocked into an active volcano, I believe it was Mount Novarupta in Alaska. I admit his corpse was never recovered, but no one should have been able to survive that. Molten rock does that after all." He placed his hands on his desk and let out a breath before relaxing. "What evidence do you have? Only Blair could see that the barrier was owned by him, and quite honestly, it could just be someone using his name. I will keep it under advisement that he could still be out there, but until there is tangible evidence I cannot warrant a hunt for whoever this really is." Blair nodded as did Nora, they looked to one another before looking to him, Nora spoke. "We understand, Father. We just wanted to verify our findings. We will keep an eye out for more evidence of whoever is using Master Tong's name. I am sorry that this information has upset you." Blair bowed her head slightly to Zane and said. "I have some further matters to discuss with you. I am curious of what someone would use an essence for." Zane's eye brow quirked while he replied. "An essence? They are used in powerful magic, very difficult to find, and very valuable. Depending on which one is used, it can be used for great feats of restoration or destruction, bringing life or ****. If such an essence is used wisely one can warm homes, nurture animals and people, or bring ruin to all those things. In the wrong hands just one could easily lay waste to a large city." He slowly sat down, but his face was stern. "Show me what you have found. We already have an agreement for fair compensation for anything you have. You are under obligation due to the contract you have signed." She nodded softly. "I am aware, it is why I brought it up. I have an Essence of Undeath. Is it safe to bring it out here?" Blair glanced to Nora, her eyes had widened, but for whatever reason remained silent.

Zane's eyes widened hearing that. "No, not at the moment. Those cause whatever they touch to decay. I do not know how you are storing it, but I cannot sense it's taint upon you. You are far more fortunate than you know." He moved a hand to a intercom on his desk, pressing a button before speaking. "Izohra, tell Vralius to come to my study with a spacial storage container." A soft feminine voice replied. "Right away, sir." They weren't waiting long before an older looking gentleman opened the door. He was wearing a brown business suit and glasses, his brown eyes looking around the room before focusing on Zane. Blair noticed, his brown peppered hair, much like his full beard, was short and neatly trimmed. Zane smiled to this man. "Ah, Vralius. Thank you for coming quickly on such short notice." Vralius smiled before asking in a concerned tone. "Is everything alright? I have the spacial container with me." Zane nodded slightly before replying. "Yes, but from what Blair has told me, you will need to place an Essence of Undeath into the spacial container." Vralius's eyes widened hearing this, taking a moment before replying. "Oh? That is rather surprising. It has been quite some time since I have seen a new one." He paused a moment before looking to Blair. "Ah, you must be Blair. I have heard many good things from Nora. Forgive me for not coming to greet you sooner. I have been rather busy." Blair was certain everyone knew about her by now. Zane chuckled before saying. "I must inform you that Blair has recently become a contractor for us. This is the result of her first assignment with Nora." Vralius turned to look to Zane before nodding. "Ah, that makes far more sense. I am however, really surprised to hear that Zane sent Blair alone with Nora. You must have made quite the impression on Zane for him to entrust you with Nora's protection." Blair was a little surprised hearing this. "I hadn't expected this to turn out as it did, but it was a interesting bonding experience for us." She moved a hand to Nora's, locking her fingers with hers. They looked to one another before she looked back to Vralius who was chuckling. "Ah, forgive me, to be young and in love." Vralius pulled a small clear shooter marble from his jacket's left inner pocket. "If you would be so kind to drop the Essence of Undeath on this, that would be quite appreciated." Blair nodded before opening her inventory, everyone watched her as she moved her free hand. A notification popped up.

Telekinesis was used when she took the Essence of Undeath out of her inventory, she heard a gasp from everyone as a small dark purple storm cloud came out of her inventory. - 5 Mp She guided it with her mind to the clear shooter marble, but once they touched, it was pulled inside, its clear form quickly taking on the dark purple glow of the Essence of Undeath it now held. She couldn't help her mind from wandering into the gutter after receiving this new skill, she was starting to wonder if she could use it on Nora's clit for starters, but her attention was turned back to the matter at hand as Zane began to clap his hands slowly. Zane looked very impressed as he spoke. "Wow, that is quite the impressive display, Blair. I can see you will be quite an interesting daughter in law. Well, if you decide to marry my daughter." Nora blushed as she spoke. "Father! We, we're not there yet." Blair chuckled before kissing Nora's cheek. "So cute." Vralius was standing there still in thought on what he had just witnessed, it wasn't long before he spoke. "Is there anything else that might require my services?" Vralius asked, looking to Zane who replied. "I do not know, Blair?" She nodded. "Right, I have received another tome, like the one before, five skeleton fingers, and two zombie dog teeth." Zane lifted a brow as did Vralius, but only Zane spoke. "Really? That is unusual, let's see them, put them on my desk. She took them out in sets with her hand, she hadn't closed her inventory from earlier, but this time she closed it after taking out the final item. Vralius looked them over carefully. "This is indeed like the tome I saw earlier. Hmm, these zombie dog teeth are minor ingredients for necromancy and **** magic, but these skeleton fingers." Vralius examined them more closely, he placed his right hand over them, a soft white glow came from his palm, before a rather excited look came across his face, that glow soon faded. "Remarkable, I believe each of these skeletal fingers could be used to make a whole new skeleton. I, I am afraid to say, I have not seen necromancy this powerful since, Master Tong was vanquished." Zane did not look pleased to hear this, but nodded. "I see, Vralius, take these to the vault. Now, Blair and I need to talk about fair compensation for these items."
