Mark stirs first, and he wound up below Ryan.

The first thing mark notices is the soft menu music coming from the tv. The next thing he notices is that he is underneath someone, opening his eyes he sees the familiar back of his best friend's couch. Mark tries to wriggle free from his friend, but Ryan is quite a bit larger than him. Mark realizes he's going to be here a while, as Ryan is a heavy sleeper, especially when he's wasted.

Over a few moments, Mark remembers the events from earlier. For a moment, he thinks about trying to wake his friend up, but figures it would be pointless. Mark eventually decides to try to get back to sleep, but he has always been someone who wakes up and stays up.

He would be loathe to admit it, but Mark actually begins to appreciate the feeling of safety he gets from Ryan's hugging embrace.
