From the leaf village, Uzumaki Naruto, the Kyuubi jinchuuriki, is the most pivotal character. Strong and kind, he sets out to help his friends.

His companions are Nara Shikamaru, Akimichi Chouji, Inuzuka Kiba, Aburame Shino, Rock Lee and Hyuuga Neji.

Other jounin from the village are Hatake Kakashi, Maito Gai and Sarutobi Asuma.

From the sand village, the siblings Gaara (a former Jinchuuriki) and Kankuro are the most known.
