Makoto Does As she's asked

Makoto felt her heart drumming away in her chest. She heard the mother say, no longer asking now: “Miss, I need you to stand up for a moment for me.”

“O-okay,” Makoto said. She did not want to. Being without her panties on a train with something shoved up her butt while a strange lady seemed intent on making a scene, Makoto found she really did not have much fight in her at the moment, wanting as little attention on her as possible. Makoto rose shakily to her feet, feeling the plug with every movement, and grabbed the handrail to help support herself. Her eyes went to the mother then back to her seat. Sure enough, it was as empty as it was when she first sat down. The other passengers seemed to go back to whatever they were doing before, but she still had the full attention of this kid.

With mouth agape, the kid looked to his mother who shot him a stern look. He hurriedly started insisting that he wasn’t lying and that he really saw her sit on a binky. His mother started to scold him, letting him know how much trouble he was in for lying again when they got home, and Makoto felt a pang of guilt. He wasn’t lying, but she wasn’t about to admit that. Instead, she tried to tune them out, turning her back to them and moving to retake her seat. As she went to do so, she heard the kid yell that he’d prove he wasn’t lying. Makoto hears a rush of footsteps and sees the boy charging her, hands reached out in front of him. Makoto felt like a deer in headlights.
