Teague was a professor of philosophy who prided himself on his logical mind. Ordinarily, there’s no way that he’d believe in magic.

But Nick could already see that the Hypnos was having an effect. And with Teague’s physical transformation being something the professor could neither explain nor deny, Nick could use “logic” to completely alter the former man’s world view.

“To put it simply, you’ve been cursed.”

Nick sees the new woman’s expression sour but before she can object, he holds up a hand.

“Before you call it impossible, take a good hard look at yourself. You were a man this morning. Are you a man now?”

“I’m –“

“in body? Come on, Professor. You’re the one who used to say not to ignore what the eye sees because of emotions.”

Girl-Teague paused, looked down at her bountiful chest, blushed again and looked away.

She was so damn sexy. But Nick couldn’t get distracted now. He had to press his advantage.

“Your transformation can only be described as magical, right? So, logically, magic is real, Professor. You’ve treated Helen’s suitors so badly that she jokingly got a witch to curse you. My brother told me all about it. Of course, no one thought it was true at the time… but the evidence speaks for itself, don’t you think? Not just your transformation but any… odd emotions you may be having? Feminine feelings?”

Nick knew those would simply be a by-product of biological urges. But Teague had always been one of those who believed that bodily urges would never affect the “palace of his mind.”

Girl-Teague bit her plump, kissable, lower lip. What Nick wouldn’t give to…

He cleared his throat.

“Come on, Professor, we need to be sure we’ve established this first. When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth,” Nick said, quoting the famous Holmes line.

“So with all this evidence… Do you believe in magic?”
