Even with Mandy leaving with Diana there’s no way of being sure that it isn’t just simple short term clock blocking (literally in this case though she may not know it). You need to be sure Mandy has an incentive to go all the way to “beat you”.

As Mandy and Di start to leave you rush over “Di, hey” you say almost pleading “Hey are we still…you know…?”

Di swallows looking nervously. “Well maybe Cindy”

Mandy pushes Di behind her and leans into you “Not this time, skank. She might be shy, but she has better taste than a cheap fucking wetback.”

The slur induces real anger but you play your part. “Bitch” you hiss at Mandy and then plead with Diana. “Di. Please…”

Mandy rolls her eyes “You’re pathetic. You only just met”. And with that she ushers Diana out the door.

You turn back to the gym. A few of the guys are looking at you surprised at your desperation. And then more puzzled still when they see your huge ear to ear grin.
