Make a Quick Shelter.

You decide that, walking blind in a jungle at night, on some unknown island naked and afraid, is probably not the smartest idea. So you set to work setting up a makeshift shelter. You spy a sturdy rock about six foot in size, there is plenty of trees around. however you lack basic tools, and your daylight is measured in a hour at most. You break low tree limbs as long as you can, then you stick the broken end into the dirt and prop it at an angle against the rock. Very soon you have formed a small roof about two feet wide and three feet of height. Its not super sturdy or long enough to lay under but it'll last the one night you plan on staying.

Fire is your bigger worry, you will need to keep warm also it should keep most predators away. You dig a small hole out about two feet from your shelter, you then fill it in with dried leaves, grass and twigs. Next you set to collecting both dead and green limbs. You layer the dry wood atop the pile of twigs, grass, then build a pyramid shape around the wood with the green wood. You have only around twenty minuets of sunlight left when you begin scraping the green wood into the dry, then whittling a small green piece of wood against the dry into what you cut away to apply friction. Soon it ignites, and you carefully stick it through the green under the dry igniting your collection of grass and twigs. You do this at several places, soon the dry is lit and the flames are licking the green wood.

Its dark but your fire creates a small area of light. you use that light to sharpen a green limb to a point, you take your clumsy spear with you in the shelter. Your hungry, your thirsty and your tired. The rest of that can wait for tomorrow, sitting with your back against the rock you close your eyes and drift off to an uneasy sleep.
