Maintenance

I heard the door open, and a voice said, "Maintenance!" As I heard him come into the room, I heard him ask, "Anyone her....."

He stopped and laughed a little, and then said, "My boss said he said he'd have a surprise for me this week. Did Jack hire you for this?"

I tried to speak but nothing came out of my mouth. I was paralyzed with fear.
