Chapter 37 by BelleHades BelleHades

What happens to Amy now?

Magical things!

July 20, 2032

Amy is listening to the latest news on the Plutonian Empire while preparing a simple meal of scrambled eggs for dinner. The most recent involved the continuing international backlash after King Gene ordered a nuclear carpetbombing of Saudi Arabia back in January. Naturally, this caused the Middle Eastern country to be completely annihilated, utterly wiped from the face of the Earth.

It is a decently warm day, and not too hot. The kitchen window is open, and Amy hears a faint flapping sound. She leans over to look out the window, pausing from scrambling, to see a bird has landed on a tree branch near the window. Almost immediately, the bird, a robin, begins chirping. And chirping. And chirping.

Amy shrugs, and continues fixing her dinner. Shea is out for the night, on a date with a guy half Shea's age. Amy snickered at the idea of what Shea might be doing later tonight with the poor sod, as she knew her mom was a huge BDSM fetishist.

Chiiiirpity chirp chirrrrrrrp

Amy frowned and growled. The damn robin was starting to get on her nerves. She was beginning to consider trying to curse the annoyijg little shit, likely with an invisible fireball. Thankfully, she's had some experience before. Last year, Amy attended her first protest, against a Denver politician accused of corruption and several extra-marital affairs. When no one was looking, Amy snuck behind a secluded area near the protest site, checking for witnesses and security cameras. Once Amy knew she was safe, Amy chanted in latin while holding her palms together, focusing her fiery, angry energy into an invisible energy fireball, and threw it at the corrupt politician.

Nothing immediately happened, obviously, as the visual sexy stuff was still limited to the Plutonian Empire. Amy grinned cheesily upon remembering that the day following the protest, news broke that the politician was rushed to the hospital overnight due to crippling headaches, to find a large prostate cancer tumor that formed and inflated over the course of a few hours. It was--

Chiiirrrrrrrrpitttty chirrrrrp CHIIIIRRRRRRPP

"Shut up!" Amy looked to the window before sitting down at the table with her plate. Naturally, animals don't listen to humans, she mused, pouring ketchup on her scrambled eggs.

CHIRPITY CHIIIIIRRRRRRRP

Amy was able to down a few large bites of her eggs bef--

CHIRRRRRRRRPITTY CHIRP CHIIIIIIRRRRR--

Amy immediately forcibly pushed her chair backwards, knocking it backwards onto the floor as she got up, stomped to the window, and screamed at the top of her lungs.

"SHUT! THE! FUCK! UP!" Amy roared as she threw her invisible fireball at the bird like a baseball pitcher.

FFffffffft POOF

Amy just stood there, shocked. The bird literally exploded in a fiery ball of blood, bird guts, and feathers. There was a rising, rapidly dissipating trail of smoke, going from where her fireball left her hand to the bird she just killed. Or, where it used to be, anyway. All that was left of the annoying little shit was its feet.

Amy quickly ran to the window, then out the kitchen's patio door, checking to see if anyone saw it. After frantically searching everywhere, she quickly realized she was extremely lucky that no one saw it. Amy rushed into the backyard to check the house, and was surprised to find a lack of bird guts on the siding. She could've sworn the branch was close enough to splatter her home, yet miraculously, zilch.

Amy calmly walked back into her house just in case she missed any hidden staring (she didn't, thankfully), finished her dinner, and spent the rest of the night scouring the internet to see if anyone else outside of the Plutonian Empire had visual magic abilities. After hours of research and several quizical glances from Shea after she got home, Amy realized she truly was the only one outside of the Plutonian Empire with her newfound abilities.

Finally, just after midnight, Amy broke the news to Shea...

How does Amy's mom react?
