Magical Girl, Shoujo Ai and Yuri

The first mangas I saw on the shelf were pretty normal. The standard teen magical girl stuff. Sailor Moon, Wedding Peach and the like. Schoolgirls who mutate into superheroes in their spare time and save the world from the eternally same evil. And sometimes falling in love with Mysterious Strangers.
Right next to it were some Shoujo Ai Mangas. Romantic relationships between girls. Nothing explicitly sexual, but that two characters fall in love with each other and that about every second chapter had some kissing girls in it was pretty common in those.

What drew my attention was the line of manga standing at the bottommost shelf. They all had the same signs on the spine.

百合 ... Yuri.

These, too were about the love between girls and women, but the stories were clearly no longer suited for minors. Even the covers suggested that it would get pretty explicit and sexually in the comics...
"If this idiot just kept a little order in his room!" I heard Fumiko ranting from the next room as she came back. Suddenly I got up and concentrated on the textbooks.
Fumiko stuck her head in the room and smiled at me sheepishly. "I need another moment, if you want to read something that interests you, just take it off the shelf."
I nodded to her, and before I could answer verbally she was gone again.
