Chapter 15 by Shibbar Shibbar

What's next?

Madness crept in...

{if Roxxy is alive = true}Nora felt awful. This whole trip was awful. The things she's seen... it's all just been too much for her. Her thoughts wandered dangerously, thinking about things with a skewed mind. She should've never left for this place. She should've been at home, studying the clay pots, but no.

'It's all Roxxy's fault!' she thought. If she never sent that idol to her, she wouldn't have come here. Nora sulked and sat with her arms wrapped around her knees, trying not to cry. Roxxy almost didn't notice. She had to do a double take and walk back a few steps. She was going to say something, but then decided against it. She stood there, looking away with tired eyes.

"Roxxy," Nora finally spoke out from her curled position, "we're going to die down here, aren't we?"

She sighed. "I don't know."

"..." Nora was silent for a while. "This is all your fault."

Roxxy looked to the ground. "I know." She took a few steps back, and rested her forehead against the cool tunnel wall.

The silence was deafening. Nora sobbed quietly to herself. Time passed.

"It's all your fault."

"I know."

It was only a few moments later when she said it again.

"It's all your fault."

"I. Know." Roxxy said again, growing tired of Nora's insistence of letting her know. She knew.

"It's all your fau-"

She turned around. "I KNOW! Stop reminding me-e-e-aaaah!"

Nora wasn't there anymore. Well she was, but she wasn't herself. An unspeakable horror has gripped them both; hopelessness and despair. Nora was their avatar now. Grey, sickly skin stretched and flapped unnaturally from the yawing faces that sprouted in her flesh. The smell suddenly hit her. It smelled of everything she ever found sad, a mix of hot dog water, her grandomther's home, and breaking up with a loved one. Tendrils and the dark filled Roxxy's vision. Her movement were oozing; slow and lumbering, but still somehow faster then Roxxy's own.

"It's all your fault."

The tunnels echoed with her screaming, but it soon stopped.{else}Nora felt awful. This whole trip was awful. The things she's seen... it's all just been too much for her. ...But she couldn't blame Roxxy. There was no way she could've known. There was no way anyone could've known. Nora missed her. She felt alone and unimportant in these cold, dark tunnels.

She slumped against the wall and hugged her knees. She sobbed knowing that she's lost forever, never to see the faces of her loved ones again.

Nora was never seen again.{endif}
