"Yes a Boomer." Madeline said smiling "His name is Jack. He watches you as your caravans go by Nellis. He is deeply in love with you."

"Oh my god." Janet said taking in a deep breath. "That Boomer! I...I...don't know what to say. I have seen him. From afar--through my binoculars. He really likes me?"

"He does!" Madeline insisted "He is smitten. He said you are the most beautiful thing in the world. He wants you to come to live with him at Nellis."

Madeline paused for dramatic effect then continued.

"I mean...if you don't there are plenty of girls eager." Madeline said coyly "He is pretty handsome if I don't say so myself. Think I have a shot with him?"

"No way lady" Janet said crossing her arms defensively "Because he is my man."
